Tomorrow is the dreaded swallow study at ACH. It is so stressful. First, no food for 4 hours before so Kohen will drink the barium. It apparently doesn't taste too good because he will not drink it more than once. This means they only have one shot to see if he is still aspirating. It is a nightmare. They strap him in a carseat with this huge screen beside his face, then give him his cup to watch the barium go down. Please dear Lord let it go down the right pipe!!!
After the swallow study we see the "famous" ENT. He is susposed to be the best in the US so we have heard. We have seen him before and he is super nice. This is our follow up from six months ago when he put Kohen on reflux medicine (again) to see if that is what is causing him to aspirate. If all goes well we will not have to thicken his liquids anymore!! If not, well we just wont think about that right now. I will update tomorrow when we get home.
